Racing Towards the Future: Jenson's Inspiring Journey

Jenson, a remarkable young boy with a profound love for cars and bikes, is steering towards an exciting future in motorsport, and we're thrilled to be a part of his journey.

Early Beginnings

Jenson's fascination with vehicles began astonishingly early. By the tender age of two, he was already showcasing his enthusiasm and talent, racing around on his electric bike and quad bike. It's a passion that has only grown stronger with time, proving that sometimes, a true calling is evident from the start.

A Star in the Making

The COVID-19 lockdown period was a challenging time for many, but for Jenson, it was an opportunity that propelled him into the spotlight. His Instagram page caught the attention of the right people, leading to a trial offer for MightE go-karts, an innovative electric karting team. By 2022, at just four years old, Jenson was competing in the BKC UK Championship, a prestigious national competition. Against competitors aged up to 8, he secured an incredible 7th place overall – a testament to his remarkable skill and determination.

Rising Through the Ranks

In 2023, the MightE grid saw a significant increase in competitors, but Jenson continued to shine, finishing 10th overall. It was a year of significant achievements for him, not least of which was being featured by Driven Dreams in an Amazon Prime series documenting the journeys of selected racers. This exposure is set to continue, with the series moving to Channel 4 documentaries later this year.

Adding to his accolades, Jenson competed in the 2023 London Cup with a petrol kart and clinched 3rd place, a fantastic achievement that saw him on the podium. His presence was also felt at the 2023 British Motor Show in Farnborough, where he not only displayed his go-kart but participated in a driving display, showcasing his talents to the public.

A New Chapter with Carsa

Jenson's journey is not just a tale of individual achievement but also one of community and support. In 2024, Carsa is excited to collaborate with Jenson by allowing the use of our name on his kart. This partnership, facilitated by Jon Churcher, the Director of Carsa and a family friend, is not a direct sponsorship but a strategic move to attract attention from potential sponsors within the motorsport industry. By associating with Jenson, Carsa aims to highlight the importance of support in the early stages of a racer's career, hoping to pave the way for more significant sponsorship opportunities that will enable Jenson to thrive in his sport.

Training and Upcoming Competitions

As Jenson gears up for another year of racing, his schedule reflects the discipline and commitment required to excel in motorsport. The year's planning starts as early as November, laying out a balanced mix of rest and rigorous preparation. He will be taking a well-deserved four-week break from karting, beginning on the 24th of December and lasting until the end of January.

Once the break is over, Jenson’s training regime kicks into high gear, with test sessions at least once, if not twice a week. These sessions are not just for show; they're an intensive workout on wheels, with Jenson covering an impressive 80 to 100 miles on the track each day, running from 9 am to 4 pm. It's during these hours that strategies are honed, skills are sharpened, and a racer's spirit is tested.

2024 holds new challenges and avenues for Jenson to showcase his talent. He will be competing in the Iame M1 petrol bambino class in the Superone series, testing his mettle against some of the best young racers around. In addition to the roar of petrol engines, Jenson will also be competing in the MightE electric bambino class in the Kart Championship, aligning with the innovative and eco-friendly future of racing.
