Honda Jazz Evolution
The Honda Jazz has gone through several generations since its launch:
First Generation (2001-2008)
The first generation of Honda Jazz was Launched in June 2001, instantly gaining popularity among small car fans winning several Car of the Year awards in Japan and other countries. This vehicle was initially released with a 1.3L and i-DSI (Intelligent Dual and Sequential Ignition) engine and later on upgraded to the 1.5L VTEC engine for more power. First thing that most people notice at the first glance is how tall the Honda Jazz is. Its tall design maximises interior space making it a great option for small families planning to travel and are looking for a spacious yet compact car. First generation of Honda Jazz was already equipped with the “Magic Seat” system, which allowed for various seating configurations. The seats could fold flat to create a large loading area that could easily fit large items.
Second Generation (2008-2014)
The second generation Honda Jazz was first introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2007. One of the biggest differences between the first and second generation is a more aerodynamic design and a longer wheelbase made to improve interior space and comfort of passengers. Additionally, Honda came in three engine variants: 1.2L, 1.3L, and 1.5 i-VTEC to suit a variety of preferences. As people became more aware of the environmental impact of petrol and diesel engines, in 2010 Honda decided to introduce yet another hybrid version of their car focusing not only on reducing emissions but also on improving fuel efficiency. Honda also made some improvements to the interior, such as introducing panoramic sunroof, infotainment system, and better safety features.
Third Generation (2013-2020)
In October 2019 at the Tokyo Motor Show, Japan launched the fourth generation of Honda Jazz. It went through a massive innovation process, introducing a 1.5 Atkinson cycle engine and two electric motors, for easy transition between gasoline and electric power to improve fuel consumption. Honda undergone several technical improvements including the new Honda Sensing suite, which offered features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and collision mitigation braking. Additionally, the infotainment system was upgraded with a touchscreen display, navigation, and smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

FAQs
Even if the car is in a zero road tax band, you still need to register it as taxed each year. The process is the same, but you won’t be charged anything. So you’ll need to go online or to the Post Office and 'tax' it (it will show a £0 fee). It’s important to do that so the car is officially recorded as taxed.
Our technicians are highly qualified and experienced. They are trained professionals who specialise in inspecting and preparing used cars to a high standard. Every car undergoes a rigorous inspection by our technicians, who have lots of experience in the motor trade. In short, you can trust that knowledgeable, certified mechanics have checked over and serviced your car before sale.
No, we don’t offer GAP insurance. You would need to arrange GAP insurance separately if you want it.
Yes. We we partner with HiQ to provide servicing, so you can absolutely book your car in with us for routine servicing. Just visit our Carsa Service website or call the service centre, and you can schedule a service appointment at a location that’s convenient for you. We’ll be happy to continue taking care of your car’s maintenance.
The V5C logbook is sent to you by the DVLA after purchase. It usually takes a few weeks; typically you can expect it within up to 6-12 weeks by mail.
We’ll provide the service history documents to you when you get the car. If it’s digital, we’ll give you a printout or email, and if the car has a service booklet, that will be in the car’s documents pack. Essentially, at the point of handover (collection or delivery), we’ll hand you any service records or tell you how to access them. So you’ll have the history in hand right away.
It depends on the car’s recommended schedule. Typically, cars should be serviced once a year or roughly every 10,000-12,000 miles (whichever comes first). If we’ve just serviced the car before delivery, your next service would likely be due in about a year from that service date. We’ll let you know the last service date and any upcoming due dates when you purchase the car.
If the car just had an MOT done as part of our prep, then your next MOT is due one year from that date. If it’s a nearly-new car under 3 years old that hasn’t needed an MOT yet, then its first MOT will be due when it turns 3 years old. We’ll let you know the MOT status and date when you buy the car, so you’ll know when to plan for the next one.
