Get pre-approval
AutoProtect must approve the repair before any work begins. Unapproved repairs aren't covered.
Repair within 14 days
Repairs must start within 14 days of reporting. Labour is paid up to £100 inc VAT per hour.
£50 recovery contribution
If you need recovery for a valid claim, £50 is contributed towards it. You're not stranded.

No. This is a Mechanical Failure Warranty — it's not an insurance product and is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. It covers the cost of repairing covered components if they suddenly fail. It's optional.
Every car Carsa sells comes with a free 90-day warranty with a £500 claim limit — included at no cost. The extended warranty above is on top of that, with a much higher claim limit (up to the purchase price of your car) and a much longer term.
You can set the extended warranty to start on a future date — so if your manufacturer cover runs out in, say, 8 months, your extended warranty kicks in from that point. That way you're not paying for overlap and you get the full term out of it.
Wear-and-tear failures are covered as long as your car is under 6 years old AND under 60,000 miles at the time of claim. Once the car crosses either threshold, only sudden mechanical breakdowns are covered — wear-related failures stop.
You'll need pre-approval from AutoProtect before any repair begins. Once approved, work can be carried out — labour is contributed up to £100 inc VAT per hour. If repairs go ahead without approval, they won't be covered.
You can remove the warranty before you take delivery — no problem. Once cover starts, the warranty is non-refundable. Worth thinking carefully about which term suits you.
The warranty is transferable to a private buyer for a £25 administration fee — which can add real value to your car when it comes time to sell.
Yes — the car must be serviced in line with the manufacturer's schedule (or every 12 months / 12,000 miles if there's no service history). Keep your service invoices as proof. Missing services could affect a claim.
