Does Carsa offer GAP insurance?

No, we don’t offer GAP insurance. You would need to arrange GAP insurance separately if you want it.

Do you use manufacturer-approved parts and servicing?

We use high-quality parts that meet or exceed the original manufacturer specifications. Our service centres aren’t tied to a specific manufacturer, but any part we fit (for maintenance or repairs) will be OEM-approved or equivalent quality. So you can be confident that replacements – whether it’s brake pads, filters, or other components – are suitable for your car and won’t affect any remaining manufacturer warranty.

Do I need to be a Carsa customer to have my car serviced?

No – our service centres are open to everyone, not just Carsa customers. Whether you bought the car from us or elsewhere, you can still book it in at a Carsa service centre for maintenance, repairs, or MOTs. We’re happy to help any car owner with servicing.

Can I book a service through Carsa?

Yes. We we partner with HiQ to provide servicing, so you can absolutely book your car in with us for routine servicing. Just visit our Carsa Service website or call the service centre, and you can schedule a service appointment at a location that’s convenient for you. We’ll be happy to continue taking care of your car’s maintenance.

When will I receive the V5 logbook for my Carsa car?

The V5C logbook is sent to you by the DVLA after purchase. It usually takes a few weeks; typically you can expect it within up to 6-12 weeks by mail.

How and when will I receive my car’s service history?

We’ll provide the service history documents to you when you get the car. If it’s digital, we’ll give you a printout or email, and if the car has a service booklet, that will be in the car’s documents pack. Essentially, at the point of handover (collection or delivery), we’ll hand you any service records or tell you how to access them. So you’ll have the history in hand right away.

How much will additional labour and parts cost?

The cost really depends on what needs doing. Labour and parts costs vary by the specific job. If your car needs extra work outside of what’s covered or standard, our service team would give you a quote beforehand. That quote will break down the cost for parts and the labour time involved. There isn’t a flat rate since it could be anything from new brake pads to a more complex repair. Rest assured, we’ll always inform you and get your approval for any additional work and costs.

Why has the list price of a car changed?

Our prices can adjust based on market conditions. We regularly re-price our cars using Auto Trader’s data and live market movements. If you see a list price change, it’s likely because the market value of similar cars shifted. Rest assured, any price updates are made to keep our pricing fair and competitive – we don’t change prices arbitrarily.

How do I choose the right car for me?

Take your time to think about what matters most to you – like budget, size, fuel type and features. You can browse our stock online using filters (for example, if you need a family SUV or a small city car). We also have friendly advisors who can help discuss options if you’re unsure. Basically, start with what you need from a car, and we’ll help you find a great match.

Can I get a discount for buying at a Carsa Store?

Buying at a Carsa Store won’t get you an extra discount – we price all our cars competitively upfront, whether you buy online or in-store. Our no-haggle pricing means you’re already getting our best price. So the cost will be the same great deal, wherever you complete the purchase.

Are your prices negotiable?

Our prices aren’t negotiable. We operate a transparent no-haggle policy – the price you see is our best price. This way, every customer gets the same fair deal without needing to negotiate. We regularly review our prices against the market to keep them competitive, so you can trust you’re getting a good value.

Can I negotiate on the price of a car at a Carsa Store?

No – the price is the same whether you’re at a Carsa Store or online. We have a no-haggle policy, so our prices are fixed and fair. You won’t be able to negotiate a lower price at the store; we’ve already done the work to price it competitively, so you can buy without the back-and-forth.

Can I buy a car at a Carsa Store?

Yes, you can. We have physical Carsa Stores (branches) you can visit. Even though you might browse and reserve online, the actual purchase and handover will happen at one of our stores. At the store, you can view the car, take a test drive (by appointment), and complete the paperwork with our team’s help.

Should I cancel tax and insurance?

Yes, but only after you've handed the car over. It needs to stay taxed and insured up until then, especially if you're still driving it.

Do I need to tell the DVLA after I part exchange?

Yes, once you hand over your car, it's your responsibility to inform the DVLA. You can do this online or by sending them the yellow slip (V5C/3) from your logbook.
