What’s included in a Major Service that’s not in a Full Service?

In general, a Major Service is more comprehensive than a Full Service. A Full Service covers the routine maintenance items (oil and filter change, checking important components, etc.). A Major Service typically includes everything in a Full Service plus additional replacements – for example, it might include changing items like spark plugs, air filters, brake fluid, and other filters or wear items that aren’t replaced at every service. Essentially, the Major Service is a bigger check-up that covers more parts and goes deeper (often done every few years), whereas a Full Service is the regular annual service.

Does Carsa offer GAP insurance?

No, we don’t offer GAP insurance. You would need to arrange GAP insurance separately if you want it.

Do you use manufacturer-approved parts and servicing?

We use high-quality parts that meet or exceed the original manufacturer specifications. Our service centres aren’t tied to a specific manufacturer, but any part we fit (for maintenance or repairs) will be OEM-approved or equivalent quality. So you can be confident that replacements – whether it’s brake pads, filters, or other components – are suitable for your car and won’t affect any remaining manufacturer warranty.

Do I need to be a Carsa customer to have my car serviced?

No – our service centres are open to everyone, not just Carsa customers. Whether you bought the car from us or elsewhere, you can still book it in at a Carsa service centre for maintenance, repairs, or MOTs. We’re happy to help any car owner with servicing.

Can I book a service through Carsa?

Yes. We we partner with HiQ to provide servicing, so you can absolutely book your car in with us for routine servicing. Just visit our Carsa Service website or call the service centre, and you can schedule a service appointment at a location that’s convenient for you. We’ll be happy to continue taking care of your car’s maintenance.

When will I receive the V5 logbook for my Carsa car?

The V5C logbook is sent to you by the DVLA after purchase. It usually takes a few weeks; typically you can expect it within up to 6-12 weeks by mail.

How and when will I receive my car’s service history?

We’ll provide the service history documents to you when you get the car. If it’s digital, we’ll give you a printout or email, and if the car has a service booklet, that will be in the car’s documents pack. Essentially, at the point of handover (collection or delivery), we’ll hand you any service records or tell you how to access them. So you’ll have the history in hand right away.

What is the Tyre & Alloy Maintenance Plan?

An optional quarterly inspection plan covering puncture repairs (and up to 5 tyre replacements) plus minor alloy scuff repairs or contributions toward replacements.

What makes Carsa different from other used car sellers?

You get rigorous inspections, transparent history, a free warranty, and friendly nationwide service. Our prices are also on average £700 below the market average.

Are there any extra fees I should be aware of?

Just a clear £149 admin fee covering inspection, HPI certificate, DVLA registration and the 3‑month warranty. All optional extras are quoted up‑front.

How does Carsa ensure its used cars are high quality?

Every Carsa vehicle undergoes a thorough vehicle inspection and has an Autotrader provenance check so you can trust its condition and background.

Do Carsa vehicles come with an MOT and service history?

All cars are sold with a valid MOT. Any available service history is provided, and our team is transparent about prior usage so you know exactly what you’re buying.

Are Carsa’s cars history‑checked (Auto Trader Provenance Check)?

Yes. We run an official Autotrader Provenance Check. This confirm that there is no outstanding finance, theft or write‑off history, and to verify mileage.

Can I extend or upgrade my warranty?

Yes. You can add an Extended Warranty at the point of purchase — a one-off price for 12, 24, 36 or 48 months of cover on top of your free 90-day warranty, administered by AutoProtect. There's a dedicated EV Extended Warranty for electric vehicles too. It's optional, and your Carsa team will talk you through the options and price at handover.

How does the Reserve & Collect process work?

Reserve a car online with a small refundable deposit. We prepare it (usually 3–5 days) and schedule your hand‑over for collection or delivery.
